What is the Mass Dynamics 'Free Plan', and what changes on 1 October

Mass Dynamics now has a free plan, and it stays free. Here is what it includes, what changes on 1 October 2026, and what to do if you need more.

What the free plan includes

Three uploads. Unlimited analysis on every one of them.

  • Three uploaded datasets live at any time, on a rolling basis. Keep uploading as many as you like — the most recent three stay live.
  • Analyze them as much as you like. Comparisons, figures, reports, anything you derive — unlimited, and none of it counts toward the three.
  • Every analysis and workflow, plus API and MCP access. No card, no trial clock, no expiry.

Anything that isn't free is governance, collaboration, enterprise support, and segregated infrastructure. Never the science.

What changes on 1 October

Two things, and only if you are above the free allowance.

  • If you hold more than three uploaded datasets, your three most recent stay live and anything older moves to archive. This happens automatically.
  • Sharing becomes view-only. Anyone you have given edit access to will move to view-only.

Archive does not mean deleted. Everything stays in your account, stays downloadable, and goes live again the moment you move to a paid plan.

If you need more than three

Individual — US$2,400 a year. 30 uploaded datasets live, with unlimited analysis on every one of them. Enough to run entire programs, not just a project. One scientist, one account, paid by card.

Lab — US$8,000 a year. 200 uploaded datasets, and the part that matters: your whole team on one account with full edit access, working on the same data together. No per-seat charge — three people or thirty, same price.

Bigger than that — SSO, audit trails, your own environment — just get in touch and we will work it out with you. Academic labs can apply for an allowance that doubles the Lab dataset limit at no extra cost.

Questions

Will you delete any of my data?

No. Archiving is not deletion. Nothing is removed from your account when you reach the limit, and nothing disappears without you knowing.

Can I get my archived datasets back?

Yes, as soon as you move to a paid plan. Nothing needs re-uploading and nothing was lost in the meantime.

Can I choose which three stay live?

Not on the free plan. It is the three most recent uploads, applied automatically. If there is an older dataset you need to keep working with, either download a copy or move to a paid plan.

Is 30 datasets really only 30 analyses?

No - The limit is on uploads. Everything you build from an upload is unlimited on every plan, free included — comparisons, figures, reports, anything you derive. Thirty uploads is enough to run entire programs.

What do I get for US$2,400?

The Individual plan: 30 uploaded datasets live for one scientist, with every analysis and workflow included and API and MCP access. Everything you had archived goes live again.

Other people edit my work. Is Individual right for me?

No. Sharing on Individual is view-only, the same as free. If people other than you need to edit, you want the Lab plan. Email us and we will help you work out which is right.

Can I download my datasets first?

Yes, any time, on any plan. If there is a dataset you would like a local copy of before 1 October, you can download it now.
